SPRAY will finally be subject of systematic scrutiny in DEFRA-aided activity ’04-06. Text Box: UK market is measured in 100s of systems supplied annually as retrofit opportunity. EC market is at least 8 times bigger, all of it invigorated by regulatory requirements. US market is at least comparable to EC, very substantially more as global plstform. Reference retail price for standard system at £8000 means UK market is few £Mpa. Compounded by ancillary activities catalysed by this capability perhaps to £10Mpa. EC / US going pro rata amplifies the figures by factior 8 each, all told say £100Mpa. FRED’s expectation is 15% gross receipts as royalty in return for exclusive licence. All territories are available for negotiated acquisition under patent protection to ’14.
